This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted between September and October 2018 about the opinion on work-life balance among women employees across India in 2018, by their marital status. About 38 percent of single women and 22 percent of married women said they were neither happy nor unhappy with the work-life balance. A majority of the respondents across marital statuses said they were happy with the work-life balance they had.

The survey question was phrased as follows: How do you feel about your work-life balance?
The survey was conducted using an online interview administered to members of a panel comprising of over 30,000 individuals. The survey classified women as 'married', 'single' or 'other', in which the 'other' category refers to unmarried women who may be in a relationship, or would rather not say.
