Monthly cherry import volume in Hong Kong 2018-2019, by country of origin
The summer cherry season starts in late May and ends in August in Hong Kong. During that period, the main cherry exporters to Hong Kong are the northern hemisphere countries such as the United States, Turkey, and Spain. In May of 2018, Hong Kong imported approximately 107.7 tons of fresh cherries from the U.S., however, the imports barely reached 79.5 tons in May of 2019.
