Patients on transplant waiting lists in Argentina 2023, by organ
In Argentina, over nine thousand people were on a transplant waiting list as of July 6, 2023. More than half of them, or 5,468 individuals, were waiting for a kidney transplant. Additionally, around 2,833 patients were waiting for a cornea procedure, while 897 people expected a liver transplant by that time. In 2020, Argentina reported nearly 10 organ donors per million population.
