Household electricity prices in the European Union 2008-2018

Between 2008 and 2015, the price of electricity for households with an an annual consumption of 2,500 to 5,000 kWh increased from 16.24 euro cents to 20.97 euro cents per kWh. Since then prices have fallen and by 2018 amounted to 20.55 euro cents per kWh.

Prices for this level of consumption were slightly cheaper when compared to households with an annual consumption of 1,000 to 2,499 MWh.
