CAR of the banking sector Vietnam 2012-2021, by ownership
In 2021, the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) was estimated at approximately 12.8 percent among state-owned banks and 13.2 percent among joint-stock commercial banks in Vietnam. The joint-stock commercial bank sector had been having a higher CAR than the state-owned sector in the observed period, but this ratio had been fluctuating in recent years.
