Jean-Luc Mélenchon is a French politician, former member of the Socialist Party. In 2016, he founded his movement La France Insoumise, a left-wing political party. Jean-Luc Mélenchon was a candidate of the 2017 presidential election in France and ended up coming fourth. Later that year he became a member of the National Assembly for his party, representing a constituency located in Marseille.
