As of April 2021 the official profile of the journalist Carmen Aristegui (Aristegui Noticias) was Mexico's most followed media account on Twitter, with more than 8.84 million followers. Aristegui enjoys considerable popularity in Mexico and according to a poll in June 2019, she was the second most admired woman in the world according to Mexicans, behind only former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.
