Car sharing: number of independent vehicles Germany 2017

This statistic shows the number of car sharing vehicles belonging to independent providers in selected cities in Germany in 2017. Berlin provided the most car sharing vehicles that year with 2,430, followed by Hamburg with 1,380 and Munich with 1,200. The term car sharing refers to the shared use of one or more passenger cars. In contrast to conventional car rental services, car sharing allows for the short term rental of vehicles.
