According to a survey conducted in November 2019, approximately 24.5 percent of surveyed Japanese citizens thought that the number of refugees and people in need of humanitarian care in Japan was small, while an additional 30.1 percent found it to be relatively small. This added up to a majority of around 54.6 percent.
