A heavy goods vehicle is a road vehicle weighing more than 3.5 tons and is used for the transport of goods, while buses and coaches, also weighing more than 3.5 tons, are used for the transport of people. Their driving requires specific permits and the circulation of these heavy vehicles is subject to regulations concerning in particular driving times. In addition, the average fuel consumption of light commercial vehicles is logically lower.
