Coal electricity demand in Europe during COVID-19 lockdown by country 2020

The demand for electricity from coal during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown has reduced in the majority of countries in Europe. Between March 28 and April 30, the demand for coal in Germany's energy mix fell from 30 percent in this period in 2019 to 16 percent in 2020. In comparison Portugal went completely coal-free for more than a month during this period.
