Items frequently purchase online during COVID-19 pandemic in Japan 2020, by age group
According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Japan in May 2020, a total of 23 percent of respondents of all age groups stated that they purchased more food and groceries online during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, only 15 percent of respondents in the 16 to 24 age group contributed to this number. At 30 percent, this age group was most likely to buy books and stationery online more frequently than before the pandemic.
