Monthly export value of vegetables from Kenya 2019-2023
In July 2023, the export value of vegetables from Kenya decreased to roughly 1.57 billion Kenyan shillings (KSh), around 10 million U.S. dollars. In the previous month, vegetable exports were worth 1.96 billion KSh (some 12.91 million U.S. dollars). The horticultural sector, including the production of vegetables, is among the leading foreign exchange earners in Kenya. The main vegetables produced in the country are Irish potatoes, tomatoes, cabbages, snow peas, kale, spinach, runner beans, French beans, carrots, broccoli, indigenous vegetables, and Asian vegetables.
