Share of Amazon's veterinary products for cats and dogs in France 2020
For pet products and especially, many consumers consider the purchase and transportation of heavy sets of pet food to be quite a burden. Thus, many consumers resolve their issues by buying online and having it delivered, a method very much preferred during the COVID-19 induced lockdown, for which Amazon has proved itself. The source has measured the share of veterinary products for cats and dogs during the time period in January and February 2020 versus the week from the 16th to the 22nd of March (for which the source had calculated a market share of 12 percent for Amazon pet foods). Thus, most veterinary products were for cats, with a 33 percent share.
