Market shares of product and private label brands in Germany 2013-2020
Between 2013 and 2020, the performance of private labels showed no dramatic changes in Germany. In the grocery retail market, the market value share held by private labels went from 36.6 percent in 2013 to 37.3 percent in 2020. The largest market share was made up of mid-range product brands, which accounted for 33.7 percent of the grocery retail market as of 2020.
