South Korea: face-to-face and non-face-to-face payments growth rate 2020

In the third quarter of 2020, non-face-to-face payment transactions in South Korea grew by around 24 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, showing an increased trend towards non-face-to-face payments during the COVID-19 pandemic. Face-to-face payments decreased, accordingly. Overall, non-face-to-face payment transactions in the first three quarters of 2020 were up about 17 percent year-on-year.
