Population of concern in selected African countries 2020
Sudan had one of the largest populations of concern in Africa in 2020. That year, the country hosted 3.6 million people in need, including refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, stateless, or people at risk of statelessness. Somalia and Nigeria followed with a population of concern of 2.8 million individuals each.
