According to a survey of smartphone users in the United States, 18 percent of respondents reported not limiting their use of mobile apps or services at all. As of the fourth quarter of 2020, lack of need was the leading reason for smartphone users based in the U.S. not using more mobile apps. Roughly one in ten reported not wanting additional apps or mobile services to have access to their online data as the main factor discouraging the use of more apps.
