An October 2021 study investigated the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the revenue of the cultural out-of-home market in the United Kingdom. By comparing industry-wide earnings in 2019 to those generated between March 2020 and June 2021, the report showed that the cultural out-of-home economy's income declined by 80 percent during this time period. Overall, the revenue loss in the cultural out-of-home industry in the United Kingdom amounted to over 136 billion British pounds between March 2020 and June 2021.
