Public opposition to the Trans Mountain pipeline in Canada has fluctuated over the years and was highest among residents in British Columbia as the province was the one directly affected.
Public support for the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion has decreased in 2021. According to a representative survey among 800 British Columbians, only 45 percent continued to support the government's pipeline project, down seven percent points from October 2020.
