Share of structures in Ghana 2021, by region and type
As of 2021, most buildings in Ghana were conventional, that is, constructed from materials such as cement blocks, burnt bricks, and mud. In the North East region, over 95 percent of structures were conventional. Also, metal containers and kiosks were most common in the Greater Accra region, covering 15.1 percent and 7.4 percent of the structures in the region, respectively.
