New human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections in Cote d'Ivoire 2010-2019
In Cote d'Ivoire, new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections stood at 0.51 per every 1,000 uninfected people in 2019. The number remained below one between 2014 and 2019 and follows a decreasing trend. However, in the preceding years reviewed, a high of 1.41 new infections per 1,000 uninfected people was registered. HIV remains one of the leading health threats in Cote d'Ivoire.
