Taiwan: leading items consumers spend consumption stimulus vouchers on 2021

According to a survey conducted in September 2021, around 77 percent of Taiwanese consumers planned on spending their quintuple consumption stimulus vouchers on groceries and daily necessities. In comparison, around half of the respondents stated that they would buy consumer electronics with the vouchers.

Taiwan launched the quintuple stimulus voucher program in September 2021, aiming in stimulating the post-COVID economy. With an upfront payment of 1,000 New Taiwanese dollars, registered consumers will receive coupons worth 3,000 New Taiwanese dollars to use in selected shops and service providers.
