Share of informal employment in Africa 2021, by country
Informal employment varied significantly across African countries. In 2020, around 93 percent of Mali's working population was employed informally. Undeclared work accounted for over 90 percent of the total employment in other African nations between 2019 and 2021, namely Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal.
