England and Wales: energy efficiency in new homes 2022

Most new homes included in the energy performance certificate (EPC) register in England and Wales between April and June 2022 had a B rating. The second most common rating band was C, with 10 percent of new dwellings assigned to it. Meanwhile, homes with an F or a G rating amounted to less than 1 and 0.5 percent, respectively. The percentages shown here indicate the relative weight of each energy efficiency band among new EPC registrations. Housing units that have not been registered are not taken into account.
