Share of international students at universities in Czechia 2022, by country
In 2022, most international students in Czechia were originally from the neighboring country of Slovakia, which could be attributed not only to the proximity but also to the comprehensibility of the national languages of both of these countries, vastly allowing Slovaks to study in their language at Czech universities. As a result, Slovaks made up 38.2 percent of all international students in Czechia. Students from Russia ranked second with nearly 14 percent, followed by students from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and India.
