International reserves in Africa 2021, by country
In 2021, Libya was the African country with the largest foreign exchange reserves, amounting to around 80 billion U.S. dollars. South Africa and Algeria followed, with international reserves adding up to approximately 50 billion and 46 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.
