Number of entities in the space industry South Korea 2021, by region
In 2021, there were 264 space industry entities based in the capital region of Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi in South Korea. Overall, there were 510 entities within the domestic space industry that year. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put in orbit a satellite that weighs over one metric ton.
