Import value of vegetables into Angola 2015-2022
In 2022, Angola imported approximately 42.8 million U.S. dollars worth of fruits and nuts. This was one of the lowest values among the years under review. The importation of perishable food items, such as vegetables, was greatly affected by COVID-19. The restrictions imposed on international travel and the reduced capacity for air freight presented significant obstacles for exporting perishable goods that heavily depended on air transportation. As a result, these items faced logistical difficulties, leading to spoilage and financial losses for both producers and importers.
