According to a survey on over-the-top (OTT) video service usage conducted in South Korea in May 2023, close to 52 percent of male respondents stated that they used YouTube video recommendations or reviews to discover new content they wanted to watch. The same was true for around 47.2 percent of women in the survey. A similar share of female respondents, at 46.8 percent, also found content by exploring the service's platform.
