Reasons for taking food supplements in Portugal 2021
As of 2021, 61 percent of the Portuguese respondents who took dietary supplements presented the improvement of the immune system as the main reason for that consumption. Having more energy was the reason for 60 percent of respondents. Restoring vitamin and mineral levels in the organism was the third most stated reason, namely by 52 percent of respondents.
