EU LNG benchmark prices weekly 2024

On May 3, 2024, the EU LNG benchmark stood at -1.99 euros per megawatt hour. The European Union launched a daily LNG benchmark on March 31, 2023 in order to increase transparency regarding fuel prices. It is set relative to the Dutch TTF gas hub price, which was lower than anticipated in the winter of 2023/24 due to uncommonly warm weather and thus cut down gas demand at the end of 2023.
