In a survey conducted in January 2023 among coffee consumers in New Zealand, around 38 percent of respondents reported purchasing ground coffee beans. Coffee pods were the next most popular type of coffee product bought among those surveyed, with a third of respondents reporting purchasing coffee pods/capsules in three months to January.
