In 2022, the Chinese tech company ByteDance reported to increase its costs of sales by 38 percent from last year to about 38 billion U.S. dollars. The short video giant significantly cut expenses in other aspects. Owning TikTok and Douyin, the most popular short video app in China, ByteDance has reached almost two billion monthly active users of its products.
