In a global survey on mobile banking behavior conducted in 2023, over 30 percent of respondents in India preferred to unlock their mobile banking apps using biometric security. Manually entering the password and using one-time passwords received via SMS or email were the next most opted-for security features among two in 10 banking app users in the country.
