Builders' planning application outcomes England 2023

Most SME homebuilders in England had a low or medium level of certainty about their planning applications in 2023. That year, 43 percent of homebuilders had a low or very low degree of certainty about those applications, which was somewhat lower than in 2022. Planning applications refer to the permissions that developers need to get from the authorities to start a construction project.
