Prevalence of social media posting in Taiwan 2022, by age group
Internet users in Taiwan are posting less on social media platforms. A survey released in 2023 found that about 50.4 percent of the respondents, compared to 52.8 percent a year ago, had published a text, a photo, or a video on either social media or blogging platforms in the recent three months before the survey. The younger generation were not the most active participants. Only 53.3 percent of respondents from 12 to 19 years old had confirmed doing so, compared to 64.9 percent of those from 20 and 29 years old.
