Global share of oil and gas companies' equity value 2023, by company type
As of 2023, more than half of the oil and gas equity market worldwide belonged to state-owned companies. Only about 10 percent of the global oil and gas equity value corresponded to private companies, while the remaining 34 percent was from listed companies.
