India: annual molding sand production value 2023

India's production value of molding sand was estimated at 5.4 million Indian rupees in the financial year 2023. After three years of uninterrupted growth, this was the highest production value recorded during the period in consideration, up from some 3.8 million Indian rupees in 2020. The production volume of molding sand in India has also been annually increasing since financial year 2020.

Molding sand – also known as foundry sand – is used to prepare the mold cavities involved in the process of metal casting.
