In 2023, Sweden had a total confirmed number of 363 shootings. Only in the month of September 2023, the number of shootings were a staggering 45, with 18 of those taking place in Stockholm. The South Region of Sweden had a total of 86 shootings during the year of 2023, Stockholm had a total of 116. Sweden has experienced increasing gang-related violence in recent years.
