The statistic shows the major rail links in China in 2013, by number of passenger kilometers required. Passenger kilometers (Pkm) is a measurement of the transport services measured by the change in location of a person to another location. It is measured as the product of the transported passengers and the distance traveled (distance from the starting point and destination) in kilometers. In 2013, the traffic capacity of the of the rail link between Beijing and Guangzhou amounted to around 119 billion passenger kilometers.
