Red squirrel prevalence in gardens in the United Kingdom (UK) 2014, by country
This statistic shows the result of an investigation into the prevalence of red squirrels in gardens in the United Kingdom in 2014, by country. The native red squirrels have struggled to survive since the introduction of grey squirrels. This is due largely to a lethal pox virus transmitted by the greys. In Scotland, it can be clearly seen that their prevalence is much higher than the rest of the United Kingdom.
