U.S. adults with new health insurance through marketplace and preferred doctors 2014
This statistic displays the percentage of U.S. adults with new health insurance through the (ACA) marketplace and the inclusion of preferred doctors, as of June 2014. Some 17 percent of newly insured adults stated that their new health care insurance included some of the preferred doctors. After the first enrollment period of the Affordable Care Act between October 2013 until March 2014, the share of uninsured working-age adults decreased dramatically. During this time, approximately 14 million citizens chose a private insurance or enrolled in Medicaid.
