As of March 2020, the top two devices used to make voice calls in households were: smartphone, tablet computer and laptop with a share of 87, 17 and 17 percent respectively.The share of respondents that used a smartphone to make voice calls most likely own an Apple iphone or a Samsung device. That is due to the fact that Apple and Samsung have been dominating the smartphone market for quite some time. Recent statistics show that Apple iPhone and Samsung had a combined share of more than 75 percent of the total smartphone market.
