Zero-hours contracts rate UK by industry 2023

In 2023, 28.5 percent of the United Kingdom's accommodation and food sector workforce were on a zero-hours contract, the highest of any industry. The rate of zero-hour employees in health and social work was the second-highest, at 18.4 percent, compared with the construction industry, which had just 2.1 percent of people working on a zero-hours arrangement.
