Bank of England: destroyed all banknotes in the UK 2013/14-2018/19
The statistic illustrates the value of British banknotes of all denominations removed from circulation and destroyed by the Bank of England in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2013/2014 to 2018/2019. It can be seen that the value of British banknotes removed from circulation fluctuated during the period under observation, reaching a total of nearly 10.7 billion British pounds of notes as of 2018/2019. The lowest value of British banknotes removed from circulation and destroyed in one year was over 9.42 billion British pounds of notes, in 2016/17.
