Expected M&A activity by transaction type in Europe 2020

In the second and third quarters of 2020, senior executives from corporate and private equity firms were asked to rate their activity expectations for different transaction types over the next 12 months. Approximately 90 percent of respondents expected the restructurings activity to either increase (76 percent) or increase significantly (14 percent) in the upcoming 12 months.
