Counterfeit euro banknotes out of circulation in Europe H1 2015-2018, by denomination

This statistic illustrates the distribution of counterfeit euro banknotes that were withdrawn from circulation in Europe from the first half of 2015 to the second half of 2018, broken down by denomination. In the second half of 2018, twenty euro and fifty euro notes were the most counterfeited banknotes. The share of twenty euro counterfeited notes withdrawn from use was almost 23 percent, while fifty euro notes made up approximately 62 percent.
