Household transport expenditure in Europe

In 2021, approximately 229 billion euros was spent on transport by individuals in Germany, representing the highest amount of expenditure, from all countries within the European Union, made by households for final consumption of transport. Second and third in line are France and Italy at a total expenditure of 162 billion euros and 122 billion euros, respectively.
