Supplementary notes

Statistics Belgium considers an unemployed household as a household where none of the members have a paid job. Students aged between 18 and 24 living in an all student household are not represented in the figures.

Belgium is divided into three regions: the Flemish Region, the Brussels-Capital Region and the Walloon Region. Each region has its own Regional Parliament and a Regional Government.

*2017 figures are collected in a new way, resulting in a break of the series. Figures before and after 2017 are not directly comparable.
